Official Spanish exams in Hispania

Hispania, Spanish School, is accredited by the Cervantes Institute. Thanks to this accreditation, anyone who wishes can take the DELE, SIELE or CCSE exams at our School, whether or not you are our student.

That is to say: you prepare and take the exam in the same place, without travel or surprises on the day of the exam. We have been preparing students from more than 100 countries since 2002.

Here we explain what each exam is, when the calls are and how to register.

The DELE is an official qualification that guarantees your competence in Spanish. It is offered by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Ministry of Education, and the diploma is internationally recognized and does not expire.

How many levels are there in the DELE? Six, organized progressively from A1, the most basic, to C2, the most advanced. Each level is made up of activities and tasks that evaluate comprehension and expression, oral and written, in daily and professional life situations. In Hispania you can take all exams: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

Where is the DELE exam taken? The DELE exams are taken in centers authorized by the Cervantes Institute spread throughout the Spanish territory. Hispania is an accredited examination center, so you can not only prepare with us: you can also take the exam at our School.

When is the DELE? We prepare our students for three calls each year: May, July and November. The exact dates are published each year by the Instituto Cervantes.

Registration: is done through the Instituto Cervantes store, choosing your level and the call. Write to us and we will send you the direct link of the call that corresponds to you, because it changes with each call.

Our preparation course is based on carrying out DELE tests from previous years, with complete simulations. The pace is fast and intense, and Hispania is characterized by the excellent results that our students obtain each year.

Important: make sure you choose the start date of your course according to the call in which you want to apply.

SIELE is the International Spanish Language Evaluation Service and certifies your level of Spanish proficiency through electronic means.

It evaluates four skills: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and interaction, and oral expression and interaction. It is supported by the Cervantes Institute, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires.

For the SIELE exam you do not need to choose a level: the result will reflect your level based on the number of correct answers. And you don't have to wait for a specific call, you select the day.

Registration: you can choose a session and take the exam at our School from the SIELE website, selecting Hispania as center.

The preparation course lasts 4 weeks, 2 hours each day from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the price includes the exam fee.

The CCSE is the test of Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain, and is one of the requirements to apply for Spanish nationality by residence.

Every month we host the CCSE exams in Hispania. Registration is done through the Instituto Cervantes store, and there is a specific modality for non-literate people.

If what you want is to study a degree at a Spanish public university, your exam is not the DELE or the SIELE: it is the PCE or the EBAU, depending on the autonomous community of the university.

The official exam is in June and the preparation course runs from October to August.

DELE: three calls a year, in May, July and November. Our preparation courses start on March 30, August 24 and September 21, to arrive on time for each one.

SIELE: you choose the day of the exam, and the preparation courses start on March 2, July 20 and November 16.

CCSE: there is a call every month.

PCE, EBAU and Master:The course runs from the first Monday in October to the last Friday in August, with a second start of EBAU on January 7. The official exam is in June.

A rule that we always repeat: choose the start date of your course based on the call you want to take. If you are not sure, write to us and we will calculate it with you.

Registration for the exam is a separate procedure from the preparation course. We summarize it for you:

• DELE: on the Instituto Cervantes website, choosing level, call and exam center. Deadlines close weeks before the exam, so don't leave it until the end.

• SIELE: in siele.org, selecting session and center. You can choose Hispania directly, since we are an official examination center.

• CCSE: on the Instituto Cervantes website, with ordinary registration or the non-literate modality.

Can I take the exam without taking the preparation course?
Yes. Write to us and we will inform you about registration.

What level do I need for the Spanish university?
Most universities require a B2 of Spanish to access a degree.

Does the price of the course include the exam fee?
In SIELE courses, yes. For DELE exams, the official fee is paid separately.
