TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT WITH HISPANIA, SPANISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL

Please read the following rules carefully and do not hesitate to ask us any questions. We will be happy to help you if you have any questions about it.

1. General conditions

1.1. The only formal requirement for enrollment in the courses is to be over 18 years old. Underage students will require authorization from their parents or guardians to take the course, since our company is not responsible for them once they leave the School facilities. Minors traveling in a group will need to be accompanied by a monitor.

1.2. The minimum and maximum duration of each course, start dates and academic entry requirements will depend on each type of course. Students can find out this information on our official website or in the information documents about the courses provided by the School.

1.3. The student's level will always be evaluated with a written test prior to the start of the course. In case of disagreement with the result obtained, the student may always express his or her point of view and may be reevaluated in writing and orally to determine his or her language level.

1.4. The General Spanish Courses will have a duration in determined hours, which each student will contract in the form of an hour bonus when enrolling in the School. The student may use the School's resources as long as he has hours on his voucher and it is active, that is, the student has not stopped his classes. The hourly bonuses do not have a time limit for their completion, that is, students can attend all the contracted hours without taking into account the period of time they require.

The only exception will be students with a study visa, who must attend at least 80% of the classes within the period of time delimited by their study visa. Once their visa expires, they could only recover a maximum of 20% of the contracted classes. In the General Spanish Courses, face-to-face teaching will be taught in small groups with a maximum of 12 face-to-face students, and this number may be higher only in special circumstances. It should be taken into account that these classes may be offered in a hybrid or mixed format, that is, with students studying remotely at the same time as in-person students, so the total number of students may be greater than twelve in the class.

1.5. The Special Courses, that is, all those that do not only offer teaching of General Spanish (DELE Preparation Courses, Courses for University Access and Higher Training, Marketing Course, Spanish and Culture Course, University Follow-up Course and Teacher Training Courses), unlike the General Spanish Courses, are contracted for specific periods of time, so they do not allow the recovery of classes that have not been able to attend. The content of these courses may combine General Spanish with other subjects, or only subjects other than Spanish. In the Special Courses, face-to-face teaching will not be taught in small groups, and they can also be offered in a hybrid or mixed format.

1.6. The number of hours of study at home is approximate to the number of weekly course hours. However, the School does not require homework to be completed. Only if the student desires it, they will be assigned complementary study work at home.

1.7. The groups of the General Spanish Courses will always be composed according to the level of the students, there being no restriction on age, sex or nationality. However, to the extent possible, we will always try to compose multicultural groups, with the minimum possible number of speakers of the same language and of similar ages.

1.8. The General Spanish Courses last 2 hours (110 minutes). In Special Courses, the duration of each class can be 2 hours (110 minutes), or 1 hour (55 minutes), depending on the type of course.

1.9. The practical classes, in the courses that comprise them, will always be carried out under the supervision of a teacher and will be previously arranged. They will always be taught to volunteer students who will attend the class free of charge.

1.10. The School has 30 classrooms for teaching classes, distributed between the main building and the attached classrooms. In addition, classes are scheduled outside the classrooms from time to time, either on the terraces or in the city. These "experimental classes" will always be notified in advance, so students can choose to attend them voluntarily or not, and can take normal classes if they prefer. These "experimental classes" do not have an added cost, so they do not include special medical insurance for their completion, although students can take out insurance on their own if they wish. Therefore, our company is exempt from any responsibility for any eventuality that may occur during the course of such activities outside the School premises.

1.11. To advance in level, all students may be required to take a written and oral exam to verify their language level. This exam may be requested by students at any time if they deem it appropriate. The completion and correction of these exams will be the responsibility of Academic Coordination.

1.12. At the end of the course, students will be able to receive a Course Completion Certificate, which will indicate the final level acquired by the student, along with a detailed report of the communicative objectives of the level acquired and the total hours completed. To receive this certificate, students must have attended at least 80% of the classes. Students in blended courses must achieve a minimum of 80% attendance in both the face-to-face and non-face-to-face parts to obtain the Certificate of Achievement. The remaining percentage of classes, up to a maximum of 20%, can be enjoyed in the future as General Spanish classes. In the event that the student wishes to use their remaining hours of the General Spanish Course to take a different course, the student must pay the financial difference with the course they wish to take, changing course hour by hour. Students in Observer Mode will receive a certificate of attendance with the total hours of their course which will indicate that this type of course does not allow the active participation of the student in the class and, therefore, there is no evaluation of the same. Therefore, in these cases only the total course hours will be indicated, without mentioning the level of the classes, since it is the student who can freely choose it. Thus, students in Observer Mode who wish to obtain a Course Completion Certificate must take the corresponding number of hours for each level and show that they have passed it with an exam.

1.13. The "Letter of Acceptance" in the course will be issued only when enrolling in the School or when renewing a course. In the event that a non-EU student has not completed the class hours of a previous course, if he or she decides to enroll in a new course, the "Acceptance Letter" will only reflect the number of hours that make up the new course. The School reserves the right to offer these students the possibility of making up pending classes from the first year during the second year.

1.14. Holidays, when the School will remain closed, will be published on our website and official School documents. Classes corresponding to holidays may be made up.

2. Registration and course reservation

2.1. To confirm the reservation, individual students need to pay the full payment for the program or a first payment of 300 euros. If you pay only 300 euros, you should complete the payment on the first day at the School in cash or by credit card. Students who book a course and accommodation program must pay the full amount of the course or a first payment of €300, plus the full amount of accommodation at the time of registration. In the case of students who require a visa, they will have to pay the full price of the course so that the School can issue the letter of acceptance into the course. This document will be issued at the time of payment for your course to any student who requires it, that is, to any non-EU student enrolled in a course longer than 12 weeks. The only exception to the non-issuance of the letter will be if the student shows legal residence in Spain, so they would not need to apply for a study visa. Groups must formalize a first payment of 50% of the total cost of their program and complete a second payment with the other 50% of the total at least 15 days before the group's arrival in Valencia.

2.2. Issuance of documentation for scholarships and visas.

a) Scholarship: if the student wishes to obtain a certificate of their enrollment at the School to obtain a scholarship, they must pay a reservation fee of €300, non-refundable for the issuance of said documentation.

b) Visa: if the student wishes to obtain an acceptance letter to obtain some type of visa, the full cost of the course must be paid in order to obtain said document. In this case, a refund of the course fee will not be possible, so the usual cancellation policy would not apply. In case of visa denial, please read point 2.4 of this section.

2.3. In case of cancellation of the course by students who do not need a visa, the School will refund the following amounts depending on the time until the start of the course:

Cancellation at least 2 weeks before the start of classes: refund of the course price (if previously paid), no refund of the cost of the course reservation (300 euros).

Cancellation less than two weeks before the start of classes: refund of the course price excluding a 20% of the course amount, no refund of the cost of the course reservation (300 euros).

Once the course has started, a total or partial refund of the amount paid will not be possible.

This cancellation policy is applied without prejudice to the right of withdrawal that, where applicable, corresponds to the student consumer in accordance with articles 102 et seq. of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU), and once elapsed or said right is not applicable.

2.4. Students who require a visa, after the Letter of Acceptance from our School has been issued (or, failing that, confirmation of enrollment), may only cancel the course under the following conditions:

– If the visa has been denied: the student must present to the School the official letter issued by the Embassy or Consulate of Spain with the denial of the visa or withdrawal. In case of denial, our School may require the student to present an appeal to the Embassy or Consulate if it deems appropriate, which can help the student prepare if he or she requests it. If the appeal is also denied, or if our School does not believe the appeal is appropriate, the student will receive a refund of the price paid for the course and accommodation, except for the management fee, which will be as follows:

Sending an acceptance letter for a long-term course (13 or more weeks), via email and/or postal mail, for a study visa: the student will have a fee of 450 deducted from the total paid. euros.

Sending an acceptance letter for a short-term course (12 or less weeks), via email and/or postal mail, for other visas: the student will have a fee of 300 euros deducted from the total paid.

In addition, the student will be charged the costs of postal shipments by shipping companies, as well as bank fees when making the transfer, notarial document, legal guardianship document and any other service from an external provider contracted through our School. Likewise, the amount corresponding to the accreditation documentation issued for pre-registration or enrollment in universities or higher schools will be charged.

  • Deadline for requesting a refund due to denial:

In the event of denial of the study visa, the period to request a refund of the amounts paid for the course will end, in any case, on the date scheduled for the end of the course indicated in the letter of approval. current acceptance.

If, upon arrival of the scheduled start date of the course, the student is still waiting for a resolution from the competent authorities, they must request the School, before the end date originally indicated in their acceptance letter, to postpone the course and the corresponding issuance of an attached document with the new dates.

Once the end date of the course indicated in the current acceptance letter has been reached without the student having previously requested said postponement, it will not be possible to modify retroactively the dates of the course in order to extend or reactivate the period to request a refund.

Therefore, if the student has not requested the corresponding deferral document within said period, the deadline to request any refund will be the completion date indicated in the last acceptance letter or annexed document validly issued before the expiration of said period.

The School may, however, at its sole discretion, issue a new acceptance letter with later dates, after signing by the student a document expressly waiving any refund of the amounts paid for the course and, where applicable, for accommodation, in case of visa refusal. The issuance of this new letter will not reopen or extend in any case the period for requesting refunds regulated in the previous paragraphs.

In addition, the temporary period established for the delivery of the official documentation accrediting the denial must be met, as detailed in the following section.

  • Official documentation to be provided for the refund due to denial:

The official document of Denial must be received by our School within a maximum period of 30 days from the date on which the student received said document. If our School receives the official denial document within a period of more than 30 days from the date of receipt by the student, the procedure will not be accepted as valid and the student will not have the right to any refund of the amount paid. Therefore, the official document must provide the date of receipt of the document by the student. If this date does not appear in the documentation provided by the student, 30 days will be counted from the date of signing the document.

The student could obtain the corresponding number of hours of classes for the amount of the fee for the management applied, in case they can travel with another type of visa.

All students who request a change of their visa to stay for studies or renewal of their NIE in the city of Valencia will be obliged to start their classes on the date scheduled for the start of their course indicated in their acceptance letter, since in case of denial no course fee will be refunded, so the student could only change the total hours of their course for online hours if they cannot reside in Valencia.

If the visa has been granted, it will not be possible to cancel the course, so no amount will be refunded for either the course or the accommodation. Since the student is obliged to attend the course, if he does not do so, our School will inform the relevant authorities of the case. If the period of time approved for the study visa is shorter than the duration of the contracted course for which the study visa was requested, the student will not be able to make up those classes. Therefore, in the event of any delay in the start of the course on the date stipulated in the acceptance letter, the student is recommended to request an annex postponing the start date in order not to miss classes due to the delay in visa processing.

2.5. Our School will not be responsible for any additional charges that the agencies that collaborate with us request from students, so any percentage of refund will be made based on the official prices of our services, published on our official website hispaniaeducation.com, not considering any another payment unrelated to our School.

2.6. In the event of interruption of the course once it has started, the School will never be able to return any amount for the remaining classes. However, the student will receive a voucher indicating the total number of remaining hours that the student can do whenever they prefer.

2.7. At no time will the student be able to transfer or sell their class hours. In the event that a student uses the identity of another to attend classes, our School will report it to the authorities.

2.8. In case of return, the estimated time for our School to make the refund is one month, although it can be extended up to 3 months. In exceptional circumstances, it could be extended even longer. The student understands that in no case will he or she have the right to receive compensation such as late payment interest for the time elapsed until receiving the refund.

2.9. The start of the course may be postponed whenever the student requests it without any additional cost.

2.10. These cancellation conditions described above will apply in general conditions. Due to force majeure they could be modified.

3. Operation of the course and the General Spanish class reservation system

3.1. Each student, upon enrolling in the School for a General Spanish Course, will acquire a balance of class hours that will make up their course (acquired in the form of course type and number of weeks of the course). Example: Intensive course (10 hours / week) / 4 weeks = balance 40 hours.

3.2. Each student will be able to manage their attendance weekly, so that they can vary the number of classes they attend each week, with the only restrictions being their level, schedules offered for said level and a maximum number of 12 people per class.

3.3. The hours bonus will not have a limited duration in time. For students with a study visa, the course time is limited to the time of the study visa. In case of renewal, that is, the purchase of a new course, a maximum of 20% of the hours of the first course may be recovered. These hours could be recovered only as a General Spanish Course (or could be exchanged for a larger course by paying the corresponding price), and they would never be taken into account in the new Letter of Acceptance in the course.

3.4. The price/class hour will vary in some courses depending on the total hours of the voucher. Bonuses cannot be accumulated to obtain a better hourly price. By completing all the hours of a voucher, the student could extend their course enjoying the price/hour of their previous voucher. To obtain a better price/hour you should buy a higher hourly bonus.

3.5. The contracted hours of a type of course can only be changed to a different type of course by paying the difference in cost/class hour of the course to which you wish to convert. If the course is for a lower amount, it would be changed for a greater number of hours.

3.6. Students who sign up for a Long-Term Spanish Course or Access to a University Master's Degree may take the DELE course to which they have free access during the academic year in which they enroll in the course. After this period, they could take their remaining hours as a General Spanish Course.

3.7. Each voucher will be personal and non-transferable, so it cannot be shared by several students.

3.8. Courses other than General Spanish (DELE Preparation, Teacher Training, Preparation of University Entrance Tests...) will have a predetermined duration, so they will not be governed by the hour bonus system. Thus, registration will be made for the duration of each of said courses, so classes not attended cannot be recovered.

3.9. To reserve and cancel classes weekly, the student will use the software that our School has for this purpose. From the beginning of the course, students will have online tutorials on using the software available on their student site on our website. This software offers maximum flexibility to students, since they can manage their balance of hours as they prefer, allowing them to recover all canceled classes. The minimum period of time to make a class reservation or cancellation will be 2 days prior to the start of said class, meaning that a class can never be reserved or canceled for the next day. If a class reservation has not been made, the student will have to ask at reception if there is free space in the class before entering the classroom, as there is a maximum number of students admitted per classroom. If a student attends class without having reserved a place in advance, he or she runs the risk of repeating the contents of the class.

3.10. Students are asked to attend classes punctually to avoid disrupting classmates. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the School may have given the place to another student who, without having a prior reservation, has requested to attend the class, so the student would not be able to attend if there are no places available.

3.11. Please treat your classmates with respect and courtesy.

3.12. Eating or drinking is not allowed in the classrooms.

3.13. Total or partial recording of both audio and video in the School facilities and in the accommodation that it provides to students is totally prohibited without the express consent of the center management, as well as the School staff and all the students who appear in the images. Said consent will always be expressed in writing, through the documents provided by the center for this purpose. In the same way, no class material may be reproduced.

3.14. If a student does not follow the disciplinary rules, the School may ask him or her to leave the course. In this case the money would not be returned.

3.15. The use of the class reservation software will be governed, in addition to the provisions of point 3.9, by the rules of use published on the student portal of our website, which the student must know and respect. These rules are operational in nature and in no case may they modify the reservation and cancellation periods or the economic conditions established in these conditions.

4. Specific conditions for access courses to Higher Education in Spain

4.1 PAU Preparation Course

4.1.1. Each student, upon enrolling in the PAU Preparation Course School, will select the number of subjects they wish to study. The PCE system requires the evaluation of 4 subjects and the EBAU system requires 6 subjects. Therefore, the most common thing is to select 4 or 6 subjects depending on the evaluation system you wish to take (PAU or EBAU).

4.1.2. If the student wishes, he or she may change the hours of preparation for 1 subject (usually the hours aimed at preparing a foreign language, English or French) for general Spanish classes. The course schedule and the different class times will be provided by the School before the start of the course. Said schedule and schedules could be modified during the course if the situation requires it.

4.1.3. The basic package of the PAU Preparation Course for the PCE system includes:

  • Preparation of 4 subjects or 3 subjects + Spanish classes

  • Standard Educational Consulting Service

  • Adaptation Course to Higher Education in Spain

Students must attend the preparation classes in person the subjects for the PAU. They will be able to attend these classes online if at the beginning of the course they have not yet obtained their study visa until they can do so in person. They will be able to select whether they wish to attend the meetings related to the Standard Educational Consulting Service and the classes of the Adaptation Course to Higher Training in Spain in online format as long as they have previously completed the mandatory minimum attendance to obtain the certificate of achievement.

4.1.4. The basic package of the PAU Preparation Course for the EBAU system includes, in addition to the services indicated in the previous point, preparation for 2 more subjects: History of Spain and Spanish Language and Literature. Classes for these 2 subjects may be provided in online format depending on the needs of the School.

4.1.5. All students are recommended to start the course in October. If the student has not obtained a visa, they can start their classes in online format. Those students whose level of Spanish is insufficient to be able to follow the subject preparation classes at the beginning of the course, that is, they have a level lower than B1, are recommended to independently purchase an Early Start package. This package consists of Spanish classes, prior to the PAU Preparation Course, which can start in July, August or September, as the student wishes, in order to begin subject preparation classes with an adequate level of Spanish in October. If in October the student has not reached the minimum level of Spanish (B1), according to the School's level evaluation, his or her classes will be changed, at no additional cost, to Spanish classes in Higher Education groups, and the student will begin classes in the PAU Preparation Course (subject preparation) from January.

4.1.6. In the event that a student has a delay in their arrival in Valencia, they must start their classes online and continue them in person upon arrival in Valencia. In these cases, for students who require a study visa, students are recommended to request from our School an Annex to the Letter of Acceptance in which the new dates of the course in Valencia for the student will be reflected, in order to facilitate the bureaucratic process. In the event that the delay suffered by the student prevents them from taking a face-to-face course in Valencia of a minimum of 30 weeks, taking into account the dates scheduled for the course, our School will offer the student free of charge the weeks of General Spanish Course necessary to ensure a 30-week course in Valencia, which will give the student the possibility of obtaining a NIE, which can be renewed in the future from Spain when continuing their training in Spain.

4.1.7. Students are asked to attend classes punctually to avoid disrupting classmates. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the teacher may deny you participation in said class.

4.1.8. For online classes, for security reasons for everyone, students must access the class correctly identified with their student number and full name and surname. The camera must always be on and the microphone must be on when the teacher considers it appropriate. Failure to comply with these guidelines may be grounds for expulsion from the class.

4.1.9. Please treat your classmates with respect and courtesy.

4.1.10. Eating or drinking is not allowed in the classrooms.

4.1.11. If a student does not follow the disciplinary rules, the School may ask him or her to leave the course. In this case the money would not be returned.

4.1.12. Changes in individual schedules for each student will not be permitted. Any change in attendance to the different subjects or type of course must be consulted in advance with those responsible for the School.

4.1.13. At the end of the course, all students will be given a certificate of course attendance. To receive a certificate of achievement, it will be mandatory to attend more than 80% of the classes contracted in the course. Said certificate of achievement will be issued at the end of the course or, at most, 4 weeks before the end of the course.

4.2 Spanish course for access to a Master's Degree or Higher Degree

4.2.1. Each student, upon enrolling in the School of a Spanish Course for Access to a Master's Degree or Higher Degree, acquires a package of services that includes:

General Spanish Course (from October to the end of June).

DELE Preparation Course (it would replace the General Spanish classes when this preparation begins in the month of March and until the month of May, for students who decide to do so voluntarily). Official registration is not included in the DELE exam.

Standard Educational Consulting Service.

Course on Adaptation to Higher Education in Spain (July, online format).

Students must attend General Spanish classes in person. They will be able to attend these classes online if at the beginning of the course they have not yet obtained their study visa until they can do so in person. They will be able to attend online the meetings related to the Standard Educational Consulting Service and the Adaptation Course to Higher Training in Spain as long as they have previously completed the mandatory minimum attendance to obtain the certificate of achievement.

4.2.2. All students are recommended to start the course in October. In the event that a student has a delay in their arrival in Valencia, they must start their classes online and continue them in person upon arrival in Valencia. In this way, a homogeneous progression of all students in the course will be achieved.

4.2.3. For students who require a study visa, it is recommended that students request from our School an Annex to the Letter of Acceptance in which the new dates of the course in Valencia for the student will be reflected, in order to facilitate the bureaucratic process. In the event that the delay suffered by the student prevents them from taking a face-to-face course in Valencia of a minimum of 30 weeks, taking into account the dates scheduled for the course, our School will offer the student free of charge the weeks of General Spanish Course necessary to ensure a 30-week course in Valencia, which will give the student the possibility of obtaining a NIE, which can be renewed in the future from Spain by continuing their training in Spain.

4.2.4. Students are asked to attend classes punctually to avoid disrupting classmates. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the teacher may deny you participation in said class.

4.2.5. For online classes, for security reasons for everyone, students must access the class correctly identified with their student number and full name and surname. The camera must always be on and the microphone must be on when the teacher considers it appropriate. Failure to comply with these guidelines may be grounds for expulsion from the class.

4.2.6. Please treat your classmates with respect and courtesy.

4.2.7. Eating or drinking is not allowed in the classrooms.

4.2.8. If a student does not follow the disciplinary rules, the School may ask him or her to leave the course. In this case the money would not be returned.

4.2.9. Changes in individual schedules for each student will not be permitted. Any change to a different level of the course classes must be consulted in advance with those responsible for the School.

4.2.10. At the end of the course, all students will be given a certificate of course attendance. To receive a certificate of achievement, it will be mandatory to attend more than 80% of the classes contracted in the course. Said certificate of achievement will be issued at the end of the course or, at most, 4 weeks before the end of the course.

5. Accommodation

All accommodation reservations managed by the School are subject to prior confirmation of availability by Hispania. Booking a course does not in itself guarantee the availability of an accommodation place: the School will confirm to the student the specific availability (type of accommodation, dates and price) before formalizing said reservation, and may offer an alternative when the requested accommodation is not available, under the terms described in the following points.

5.1. Our School only participates as a mediator between students and the owners of the properties or accommodation companies to facilitate accommodation for the students of Hispania, Spanish Language School. The School only participates as depositary of the payment made by the students and which is subsequently paid to the owners of the apartments or accommodation companies. Therefore, any dissatisfaction on the part of the student with the accommodation or if any legal measure is taken, must be addressed directly to the owner or company that provided the service and from which our School is completely disassociated. However, in the mediation service that our School provides, we are committed to helping the student find new accommodation without any financial surcharge.

5.2. Students will be asked to sign the documentation related to their accommodation, in accordance with what is requested by the accommodation companies.

5.3. To calculate the price of accommodation, weeks are always counted from Saturday to Saturday. However, students can enter any day they wish. If you wish to enter the accommodation before or after Saturday, you would have to add an extra night for each additional day.

5.4. If accommodation is contracted that is linked to an acceptance letter for a visa application, it can never be canceled in whole or in part, so the student will not be able to request financial compensation for it. In case of denial of the study visa and the accommodation is blocked, the accommodation will be returned if the denial arrives a minimum of 15 days before the start of the accommodation. If, on the other hand, it is communicated less than 15 days in advance, no refund will be made.

5.5. If the accommodation period is not stated in the acceptance letter, in case of partial cancellation of the accommodation, a fee of 300 euros would be applied and the remaining amount would be returned. If the amount of the period to be canceled is less than 300 euros, the fee would correspond to the total of said period, so no amount would be refunded.

5.6. The reference date for the start of accommodation will be taken as the one indicated in the registration, which would also be indicated in the acceptance letter. Any change of date for accommodation would have a surcharge of €300, and in addition, our School could not guarantee the same reservation (same duration and type of accommodation), although it would always offer the student an alternative, which could have a different price than the initial reservation.

5.7. Our School can only guarantee the accommodation reserved by the student, that is, accommodation for the period of time that has been paid. If a student wishes to extend their accommodation, they would have to check availability with the School. Therefore, the only way to guarantee accommodation for the entire stay is to make full payment for the entire stay. In the case of long-term students, in order to make the payment of accommodation more flexible, our School can accept monthly payment for accommodation as long as the student pays the first three months before the start of the accommodation (for its reservation). Thus, once the first monthly payment has ended, the student would pay the next monthly payment (fourth monthly payment) and so on respectively until the payment is completed. However, at specific times and due to a demand for accommodation, our School may request payment for a longer period of time or even full payment for accommodation in order to guarantee the accommodation requested by the student.

5.8. Minors who have contracted accommodation and guardianship services with the School will be assigned a legal guardian designated through our School. Due to the Immigration policy, a change of guardian is not allowed.

5.9. When contracting accommodation through our School, students can choose one of the following options:

  • Block the accommodation for the chosen dates:

In this case the accommodation would be reserved from the moment of contracting. In case of impossibility of arrival on the scheduled date, the student must inform our School at least 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled arrival date. Additionally, if the student requests a change of dates, a fee of €300 will be applied. Our School will not be able to promise the type of accommodation desired for the new dates, in which case our School would offer an alternative, which could have a different price than the initial reservation. This difference in price would be charged to the student, who would assume the cost of the accommodation served either by paying the difference or reducing the length of stay.

In the event that the student informs the School of the delay after the start of the selected accommodation period, the student will be charged the amount corresponding to the period elapsed from the scheduled start date.

To all students who make a reservation with accommodation less than 15 days before the start date of the accommodation: our School cannot guarantee the availability of accommodation and will contact the student as soon as possible to confirm it. In these cases of reservations with short notice, the option to block the accommodation at the time of booking will be applied.

  • Leave the accommodation period open (do not block the accommodation at the time of booking):

In this case the accommodation would not be reserved at the time of booking. Therefore, the student must confirm with our School the availability of the desired type of accommodation in advance of arrival in Valencia. Given the limited availability of accommodation during some periods of the year, the student may have to delay his or her arrival by several weeks to obtain the preferred accommodation.

However, the advantage of this option is that it allows the student to adapt their accommodation to their safe arrival dates, so there would be no penalty for changing the date, as occurs with the previous option. If the student wants dates for their accommodation in which there is no availability for the desired type of accommodation, our School would offer an alternative, which could have a different price than the initial reservation. This difference in price would be charged to the student, who would assume the cost of the accommodation provided either by paying the difference or by reducing the duration of the stay.

5.10. The accommodations are for exclusive use by the students who hire them. In case of temporarily leaving the room, or in case of any visit, the School must be notified and the amount corresponding to the guest's stay must be paid. Minors may not stay in shared apartments, unless they do so with their teachers/monitors and under their legal responsibility.

5.11. Once the deposit of €200 has been paid through our platform, an email will be sent to you with the address of your accommodation and the corresponding access codes.

5.12. The room will always be available after 2:00 p.m. The student could arrive at the accommodation and wait in the common areas until the room is available.

5.13. On the day of departure from the accommodation, the room must be clean and tidy, and available from 10:00 a.m., and the student may reside in the common areas of the apartment during that day until the time required. The room must be locked and the key deposited in the designated place on the floor.

5.14. In certain cases, due to availability, we can offer a superior room, usually reserved for students who request a private bathroom or air conditioning, or who share a room with a roommate. If this circumstance occurs, this room would not have any additional cost, so the student could enjoy this service for the price of their standard room reservation. However, if there is a new reservation that requires this room (when requesting "Deluxe extras" or because it is a room with the possibility of being used by two students), our School reserves the right to request the student to change the room, for which we would offer free assistance in moving.

5.15. During your stay in the accommodation, compliance with the coexistence regulations is mandatory, which will be sent to all students staying in apartments. Failure to comply with said regulations may lead to the expulsion of the student from the accommodation.

6. Arrival day

6.1. All students will be informed by email of the time of the first class. Students who begin their course on Monday are recommended to come to the School on the first day (Monday) at 8:30 a.m. for the welcome tour.

6.2. Students with accommodation contracted through our School, depending on the type of arrival contracted, must proceed as follows to collect the accommodation key, depending on the arrival service booked previously.

Deluxe arrival service: pick-up by vehicle at the airport, train station or at the meeting point agreed with the person responsible for the transfer at the agreed time. Available from Monday to Sunday at any time, there is a Deluxe arrival service during the day and another at night, with different prices.

6.3. Students must inform the School of the date, time and details of the trip in advance.

7. Medical insurance

7.1. Each student must have their own medical insurance, valid in Spain throughout their stay. In the case of students who require a visa or authorization to stay for studies, having medical insurance that meets the requirements of immigration regulations is, in addition, a mandatory requirement for obtaining and maintaining said visa or authorization. The School does not provide medical services nor does it cover any medical costs that students may require.

7.2. The School may provide the student, for information purposes only, with the contact information of an insurance company or an insurance mediator with whom the student, if he or she so decides, may directly contract his or her health insurance. In this case, the insurance contract will be concluded exclusively between the student and the insurer, without the intervention of the School, which does not participate in the contracting, or in the collection of premiums, or in the management of claims, refunds, modifications or cancellations of the policy. The facilitation of said contact does not constitute a recommendation, advice or guarantee of any kind regarding the conditions or coverage of the insurance, which the student must review before contracting.

7.3. Any claim related to the insurance must be addressed directly to the insurer in accordance with the provisions of the policy and applicable regulations. The above does not exempt the student from his obligation to have valid medical insurance throughout his stay, in accordance with point 7.1.

8. Other School services: library and Internet connection

8.1. The use of library resources is free for all students.
