How the level test works
Three steps and that's it:
Open the chat. Press the link or scan the QR: WhatsApp opens with the word TEST already written. Hit send and we'll get started.
Answer the questions. They are about grammar, vocabulary and comprehension, and they increase in difficulty as you get it right.
Receive your level. We tell you what level of the Common European Framework you are at and which course best suits you.
It's free, you don't have to register on any platform and it doesn't commit you to anything. If you later decide to study with us, we will know exactly where to place you.
What level of Spanish do I have: from A1 to C2
The test places you in one of the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), which is the standard used by schools, universities and official exams throughout Europe:
A1, beginner. You introduce yourself, order something in a bar and understand very basic phrases.
A2, basic. You handle yourself in situations. everyday life: shopping, transportation, talking about your day.
B1, intermediate. You follow a normal conversation, tell experiences and defend yourself while traveling.
B2, upper intermediate. It is the level that most Spanish universities require to access a degree.
C1, advanced. You speak fluently and without searching for words, also in academic and work contexts.
C2, master's degree. You understand practically everything and express yourself with precision and nuance.
If you come to study with us, before starting the course we always take a written test to confirm your level. And if you don't agree with the result, you can tell us: we will re-evaluate you in writing and orally to put you where you really belong.

How much does the level test cost?
Nothing. It is free and does not commit you to register.
How long does it take?
A few minutes. It's done through WhatsApp, so you can stop and continue whenever you want.
Do I have to install something or register?
What's up. You only need WhatsApp on your mobile.
Does the result serve as an official certificate?
No. It is a level test to guide you and place you in the right group. If you need an official certificate, yours is the DELE or the SIELE, and in Hispania we are an official preparation center and examiner for both.
What if I just started and I don't know any Spanish?
Nothing happens, it's the most normal thing in the world. We have groups from scratch, and in fact 75% of our university entrance students arrive without knowing Spanish.
Can I do it from outside Spain?
Yes, from wherever you are. You just need to be able to connect to WhatsApp.
And after the test, what?
With your level already clear, we show you which course fits you and we accompany you in the rest: dates, prices, accommodation and, if you need it, the study visa.
The groups are small, of 8 to 10 students, so that you can talk from the first day and feel comfortable. We are a center accredited by the Cervantes Institute and we have been in Valencia since 2002.
