General Spanish courses in Valencia

This is the ideal course to achieve a complete learning of Spanish, and the one chosen by the majority of our students.

In Hispania you learn to speak and communicate in Spanish from the first day. The classes focus on conversation within small groups, with a maximum of 10 students, and you can start any day from Monday to Friday, from a single week.

We are a center accredited by the Cervantes Institute and we have been in Valencia since 2002.

In the General Spanish Course you will learn the language through the study of grammar, vocabulary, writing written texts, reading and listening comprehension, pronunciation, spelling and conversation.

The goal is for you to be able to speak correctly, carry on a fluent conversation in Spanish, understand a text and prepare a piece of writing. Our classes are characterized by practicing a lot of conversation and learning to use the language in an enjoyable and effective way.

The language is taught in all registers, formal and informal, and attention is paid to the different linguistic varieties so that you can understand any type of communicative speech.

The academic program has been developed taking into account the Reference Levels for Spanish of the Cervantes Institute and the Common European Framework of Reference, and includes the three profiles of the PCIC learner: social agent, autonomous learner and intercultural speaker.

Four modalities, depending on how much you want Spanish to occupy your week:

• Extensive, 4 hours per week. For those who want to advance without Spanish taking up the entire agenda. From €40 per week (4 to 19 weeks), €36 (20 to 49) and €34 (50 or more).

• Extensive Plus, 6 hours per week. Good balance between moving forward with ease and continuing to enjoy the city. From €60 per week (4 to 13), €54 (14 to 33) and €48 (34 or more).

• Intensive, 10 hours per week. The most chosen option for immersion stays. From €100 per week (1 to 7), €90 (8 to 19), €85 (20 to 39) and €80 (40 or more).

• Intensive Plus, 20 hours per week. Maximum speed, to level up in a short time. From €200 per week (1 to 3), €180 (4 to 9), €170 (10 to 19) and €160 (20 to 29).

And if you stay for an entire course, the long-term closed prices are much better: 30 weeks for €4,500, 40 weeks for €5,400 or one year for €6,000, always with 20 hours per week.

Intensive or extensive? We compare it here

• Small groups: maximum 10 in-person students.

• Duration: classes of 1 hour and 50 minutes. You choose how many sessions you do each day.

• Levels: from A1 to C2, with level test included.

• Start: any day from Monday to Friday. If you start from scratch, every Monday we open a beginner's group.

• Includes: class materials and certificate of attendance.

• Total flexibility: we prepare each class to the menu, depending on who comes, so you can come whenever you prefer and make up the classes you have not been able to attend.

These are the hours needed, as an approximate, to complete each level of the Common European Framework: A1 Access, from 80 to 100 hours; A2 Platform, from 100 to 140; B1 Threshold, from 120 to 180; B2 Advanced, from 150 to 200; C1 Mastery, from 180 to 240; C2 Mastery, from 210 to 260.

• General Spanish online: small group, 40-hour bonus for €300 or 80 hours for €500.

• Spanish professional: 20 hours per week with thematic content.

Do I need to know Spanish to start?
No, not at all! It's a fantastic opportunity to start from scratch. We open a beginner's group every Monday.

When can I start and how long does the course last?
You have complete freedom to start on the day that best suits you, from Monday to Friday, and from one week onwards.

What does the price include?
General Spanish classes in the modality you choose, all the class materials and your certificate of attendance.

What happens if one day I can't come to class? class?
Our flexible system allows you to cancel the classes you need and comfortably recover the sessions.

Does this course apply to me for a study visa?
Yes, the Intensive Plus modality, of 20 hours per week, meets the requirements to apply for a study visa. We explain everything to you on the visa page.
