When was Hispania founded?

Hispania was founded in February 2002 in Valencia. We have more than 20 years teaching Spanish as a foreign language (ELE) to students from all over the world.

Is Hispania an accredited center?

Yes. Hispania is accredited by the Cervantes Institute and EAQUALS, the two most demanding quality seals in Spanish teaching, and is a member of FEDELE.

What are the school hours?

The school is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Classes are organized in morning and afternoon shifts depending on the course and your level.

What nationality will my colleagues have?

In Hispania there are students of more than 120 nationalities, so your classes will be international and you will have to communicate in Spanish from the first day.

How can I get to school?

We are at C/ Cavanilles 6, 46010 Valencia, very well connected by public transport. We send you detailed instructions and, if you need it, help with the transfer from Valencia airport.

How much will my Spanish improve with a Hispania course?

Our students begin to consolidate their knowledge after the first week. What is the price of the courses?

The price depends on the course, duration and extras. General Spanish starts at €34/week and each course shows its final price in the configurator, where you calculate it instantly.

How much time do I need to complete a course?

It depends on your starting level and your objectives. As a reference, with an intensive course many students increase a CEFR level in around 4 to 8 weeks.

How many students are there in each group?

The groups are small, from 10 to 14 students on average, so you can participate and speak in each class.

Will I get a certificate upon completion of my course?

Yes. Upon completion you receive a certificate from Hispania with your level and the hours completed. We also prepare official exams such as DELE and SIELE.

Do you book my flight?

We don't book flights, but getting there is easy: Valencia is very well connected to numerous international destinations through its airport (Manises).

Do you offer transfer from the airport?

Yes, we can organize the transfer to your accommodation from the airport, train station or bus station in Valencia (optional service). Tell us about your arrival and we will leave it ready.

How do I enter my accommodation upon arrival?

You enter with an access code, without keys. You can access your room or the common areas of your apartment from 12:00; If your room is still being cleaned that day, you can wait in the common area.

Do I need a visa to come to study?

It depends on your nationality and the duration of the course. If you need a study permit, we manage the entire process with you, from the application to the TIE. See the 'Study Permit' page.

What is the shared apartment like?

The Shared Apartment has common areas (fully equipped kitchen with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, living room and bathrooms for common use) and a washing machine for students. Each floor has 4 or 5 private bedrooms, locked and furnished with a bed, desk, chair and closet. The accommodations are for the exclusive use of school students. Shared room can only be booked when two students traveling together ask to share.

Is it far from school?

No. The accommodations are in the Benimaclet neighborhood, about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the school.

Do you have an internet connection?

Yes. We guarantee Wi-Fi connection in common areas (normally the living room). There may be coverage in the rooms, but it is not guaranteed.

Yes. The apartment includes the costs of responsible consumption of water and electricity.

Who is in charge of cleaning?

Sheets and towels are changed once a week, upon request.

Host families are about 20 minutes from the school on foot or by bike, or in areas well connected by public transport.

It depends on each family: not all of them provide keys. It is a private home, so the privacy and coexistence rules of the host family are respected.

Yes, the host family takes care of the laundry once a week.

Yes. If you do not feel comfortable, we will look for an alternative as soon as possible so that your stay is perfect.
